Now, to the fun stuff!
Escape the Winter Blues at Digby Pines

As kids, few things felt more special than spending a night or two at a fancy hotel with our parents. For travellers taking MV Fundy Rose from New Brunswick, a night away with the little ones is easy and affordable. You can sail across the bay in style to the Digby Pines Golf Resort & Spa and soak in the luxury of their heated pool and spa, play games in a fire-lit room, relish in room service and more. Plus, this year, Digby Pines is offering events specifically tailored for March break, like their puppet creation workshop!
Check out their available hotel packages to find the perfect option for you and your family.
Skating Around the Town

Here in the Maritimes, we have a deep-rooted connection with water—whether it’s liquid or frozen! So bundle the kids up and head to your local rink to burn off some energy. Enjoy a hot chocolate while you watch the Zamboni flood the ice for the next group. It’s tradition.
By the end of March, many skating rinks will be wrapping up their season, so now is the time to lace up those skates! In Digby, try the Digby Arena, an indoor skating rink that operates from October to March—right in time for your vacation. Across the bay in Saint John, you’ll find the Charles Gorman Arena, Stewart Hurley Arena and Peter Murray Arena. The skating season only lasts so long, so take advantage while you can!
Learn About the Bay, By the Bay

An hour’s drive down the coast from Saint John is the Huntsman Marine Science Centre and the Fundy Discovery Aquarium. Here, you can learn about the power of the Bay of Fundy while you watch Harbor Seals play and learn more about the abundance of sea life that call the Atlantic Ocean home. Parents and children alike have fun marvelling over the gigantic subtidal pool. Here, you’ll form core memories as you learn about the natural world and the ocean that’s central to life in the Maritimes.
Spend a day in the City

In Saint John, New Brunswick, you can wow your family with a walk to the reversing falls, take a swim in the province’s only 50-metre pool at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre and immerse yourselves in the arts by attending a play at the Saint John Theatre Company.
Of course, running around Saint John is a surefire way to build an appetite, so stop by the Saint John City Market to stock up on fresh food and tasty meals to go!
Hit The Slopes at Poley Mountain

For nearly 70 years, Poley Mountain has been the go-to destination for skiers and snowboarders across New Brunswick. And it’s easy to see why! With 30 groomed trails, five glades, night skiing and over 100 acres of skiable terrain, Poley is the perfect place to spend a day on the slopes. Best of all, it’s less than an hour from Saint John. Take a lesson to learn the basics, or, if you’re feeling brave, make your way to the terrain park to catch some air or ride the rails. If alpine sports aren’t your thing, rent a pair of snowshoes for a more relaxed day of exploration. Afterward, complete your family adventure with a visit to the Slope Side Bar & Grill for a family meal.
