Nova Scotia-Maine Ferry Service - 2024 Season July Update

As of July 7, 2024, Bay Ferries Limited (BFL) has booked 31,950 passengers for travel during the 2024 operating season (last report was 23,188 as of June 5). This represents an increase of 5,207 booked passengers (+19.47%) over the exact same period in 2023. To date this season, we have transported 12,172 passengers and 5,075 vehicles, completed 37 round-trips with 5 round-trips cancelled – 1 due to a technical issue (ship’s radar) and 4 weather related.

Mark Wilson, President and Chief Executive Officer for BFL stated: “We continue to see strong growth in this year's bookings with solid indicators for a strong season. Daily service and peak season are now underway. Our team is ready and looking forward to welcoming even more travelers on board The CAT.

The CAT season started on May 17 and operated five days per week until June 19. Daily service began June 20 and will continue until September 16. As of September 17, The CAT operates five days per week until the final sailing of the season on October 15.
