Nova Scotia-Maine Ferry Service - 2024 Season June Update

As of June 5, 2024, Bay Ferries Limited (BFL) has booked 23,188 passengers for travel during the 2024 operating season (last report was 18,613 as of May 14). This represents an increase of 3,539 booked passengers (+18%) over the exact same period in 2023. To date this season, we have transported 2,873 passengers and 1,278 vehicles, completed 13 roundtrips with 1 round-trip cancelled due to a technical issue (ship’s radar).

Mark Wilson, President and Chief Executive Officer for BFL stated: “We continue to see strong growth in this year's bookings and there are solid indicators for a strong season. Our team is looking forward to the upcoming peak summer season and the commencement of daily service later this month.” 

The CAT began its season on May 17, operating five days per week until June 19. Daily service begins June 20 and continues until September 16. As of September 17, The CAT operates five days per week until the final sailing of the season on October 15.
